Craftsman Matching B.C. Wildfire Campaign

(North Vancouver, August 19, 2021) – The ARA’s member, Craftsman Collision, has launched a matching campaign in support of the Canadian Red Cross 2021 British Columbia Fires appeal and the Salvation Army Food Bank in the Okanagan to assist in their efforts to provide support, comfort and care during this incredibly difficult time.

“In these unprecedented times, we are giving back in the best way we can, supporting organizations like the Canadian Red Cross and The Salvation Army Food Bank who are on the ground helping those in need,” said Rick Hatswell, president. “We are proud to be in a position to do our part to support the B.C. wildfire efforts.”

As dangerous wildfires sweep through British Columbia, many Canadians need urgent assistance. Thousands have already been forced to evacuate and leave their homes behind.

All eligible donations made through https://craftsman.bz/BCWildfire or Craftsman Collision’s Facebook page to the 2021 British Columbia Fires appeal will be matched by Craftsman Collision (until September 3) up to $20,000. In addition, the Government of British Columbia (until December 31) is matching all eligible donations. This is a great opportunity to triple your donation value to the Canadian Red Cross! A small $5 donation goes along way and becomes $15.

Donations to the Canadian Red Cross will be used for immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency and preparedness for future events in British Columbia and impacted regions, including consequential events related to the fires.

As well, all Craftsman Collision locations in Kamloops, Kelowna and Vernon are receiving donations of non-perishable food items from the community. For each item donated, Craftsman Collision will donate $1 to your local Salvation Army Food Bank.  Participating locations:

Vernon                2727 35th Avenue

Kamloops            453 Victoria Street West

Kelowna              1790 Springfield Road

West Kelowna    1070 Stevens Road

Here is a list of the most needed items that you can donate to the food bank:

“Supporting the communities where we live, work and do business has been at the heart of what we do for more than four decades,” said Stacey Cook, marketing manager. “Over the past few weeks, we have seen overwhelming number of B.C. businesses, organizations, and individuals stepping up to the plate to help those displaced by the wildfires. This B.C. spirit of looking out for one another will help get us through this crisis.”

On behalf of Craftsman Collision, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your donation during this incredibly difficult time.
