For some, the ICBC Collision Repair program has been a reinforcement of best business practices for progressive shops, while for others it has been a wake-up call to ensure they are tooled and trained to meet the demanding needs of the modern vehicle repair.
One area that has been confusing for many is certification programs.
As the ARA represents a diverse number of shops in all geographic areas of the province we want to ensure everyone has considered the realities of certification programs (note: CCIAP is CCR except that for ARA members it is greatly discounted).
The emphasis for the ARA’s CCR program is a focus on recognition of shops’ capabilities to repair all brand” vs. OEM-specific certifications, which are taking on too much control of industry, impacting their ability to make critical decisions that effect KPIs.
