ARA Launches Labour Market Study - Automotive Retailers Association

ARA Launches Labour Market Study

December 21, 2012

With funding provided through the Canada-British Columbia Labour Market Development Agreement, the Automotive Retailers Association is leading a labour market study for the B.C. automotive sector. The purpose of the study is to acquire data identifying the challenges facing the sector in human resources in order to quantify existing and future labour market issues in the sector and opportunities to address these issues through a comprehensive labour market solutions program.

MNP LLP (“MNP”) has been retained to conduct a survey of industry businesses and employees on human resource topics and trends impacting the industry. The credibility of the survey and the resulting study depends on the collection of valid information from enough employers and employees to be considered representative of BC’s automotive sector.  The results of this study will be used to develop strategies to support the recruitment and retention of skilled labour in the Automotive Sector.

Automotive business owners will be invited to participate between December 27th 2012 and January 18th 2013.
