How to join the Automotive Retailers Association
Joining the ARA is now easier than ever. The membership fee is based on how many employees you have, making it more affordable for smaller businesses. Simply fill out the appropriate Membership Application form from the selection below. Once your application has been approved you will receive your membership kit. The kit includes a copy of the Association’s bylaws, a complete breakdown of all of the services available to members, our current Roster/Member Services Guide, window decal, contact information, sample forms and other materials. With your membership number, you will also be able to register for access to the Members’ Area of the ARA website where you will find lots of additional resources and late-breaking news.

Full Member with 1 - 5 employees including owner(s)
Complete the “Full Membership, 1 – 5 employees” form.
Full Member with 6 - 15 employees including owner(s)
Complete the “Full Membership, 6 – 15 employees” form.
Full Member with 16 - 25 employees including owner(s)
Complete the “Full Membership, 16 – 25 employees” form.
Full Member with 26 - 50 employees including owner(s)
Complete the “Full Membership, 26 – 50 employees” form.
Full Member with 51 - 100 employees including owner(s)
Complete the “Full Membership, 51 – 100 employees” form.
Full Member with 101+ employees including owner(s)
Complete the “Full Membership, 101+ employees” form.
Associate Members are suppliers, trainers or other persons who have an interest in the objectives of the Association and the well-being of the Membership but who do not qualify for Full Membership. Associate Members are entitled to all privileges of Full Membership except voting or holding elective office. Associate Members show their support of the industry they serve and ARA Members are encouraged to patronize these companies.
Branch or Cross-Division Member
Branch Members are secondary business location(s) owned or operated by an Active Member or Associate Member of the Association, or a franchised business of which an Active member is the franchisor, or a business which, regardless of ownership, operates under a logo, name, identifying colours or other similar business identification of an Active Member. Branch Members are entitled to all privileges of membership except voting, holding elected office.
A Cross-Division Membership is for a business or person who is a Full Member in an ARA Division, and whose business activities fall within the scope of more than one Division of the Association, and who wishes to participate in, and receive services from more than one Division. Cross-Division members do not have voting privileges in the Division(s) in which that person is a cross-divisional member.
There is no fee for Branch or Cross-Divisional Membership.
