Government is Listening

You asked for a review of rates. Government agrees and, together with the ARA, is executing a confidential survey managed by MNP. Watch your inbox for your invitation to join the survey. We strongly recommend that you participate. Without your full cooperation, there will be no change.

As all of our ARA Members will be aware, at our AGM in September, Minister Todd Stone informed us that he had directed ICBC to fund an independent third-party review of the automotive industry and our relationship with ICBC, specifically to investigate the impact of ICBC rates on our industry.

We have communicated progress on this review to our membership as things have progressed. The review impacts those members in the collision repair, glass repair and replacement, towing and recovery, automotive recycling, and automotive rental sectors.

To assist in this review, we are asking all of our members to watch your email inbox for communication from the ARA or Meyers Norris Penny (MNP). Surveys are being sent to you requesting your input.

This is not just another survey! This is in fact the review that the ARA has advocated for with the government for the past several years. It is critically important to you and your business that you participate in this survey and be engaged in the entire process.

Minister Todd Stone has committed to our membership that he will follow up on the recommendations from the MNP report, so your participation really is your best chance to have a meaningful impact on the future of your business and your industry.
