ARA News: Legislation Amendments Enhance Consumer Protection, Existing Powers

On May 19, 2016, the Motor Dealer Amendment Act, 2016 received Royal Assent. Introduced by the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General Mike Morris in February, the amendments reflect important changes that many in the industry have requested — including increased protection for consumers and enhanced legislative powers for the Vehicle Sales Authority (VSA) to address curbers.
